With my friends and writing buddies Elvina Payett, Serena Tatti and Louise Reynolds I attended the The Sisters in Crime Conference SheKilda at Ridges in Carlton.

What a fantastic Red Black and White cocktail party and what a great night we had.

Well done Sisters in Crime!

I didn't win this time but I'll never stop trying, never give up!

There are some amazing first chapters and I wish the other entrants all the best.

If you have the time drop by, read and mark the fantastic chapters.

Last Saturday I dined with my wonderful writing buddies, who are an inspiration.

Sunday we  attended the monthly Melbourne Romance Writers Guild meeting, where we shared goals, ideas, critiquing, brainstorming and of course were rewarded with chocolate.

I came away with a week of being accountable for my writing and ready to work.

I started slow on Monday, but today I blocked my internal editor, put my writing first and completed revisions on my request.

I hope your muse is with you and you're writing up a storm. And remember you can't fix a blank page!

Drop in and leave a comment.

Bye for now,
Maggie

Well, I've done it again this year and posted a chapter to Mills and Boons New Voices 2011 and I made it with five hours to spare. My story idea was definitely a Sexy but after I'd written my first chapter I knew it had transformed into an Intrigue, given time I'll modify it.

You can check it out or vote on this link -http://www.romanceisnotdead.com/Users/4829.168304

Good luck to all those who had entered.
Cheers,
Maggie

Following a blustery, wet, cold Melbourne day yesterday, today is magnificent! Sun shinning, birds singing...

I've been at my desk editing since seven am. Lovely to be working again at my IMac instead of my Microsoft laptop. If it wasn't totally weird I might buy my IMac a present to go with the huge hug I gave it when I sat down here this morning.

My characters are  talking to me and that's the part of writing I love, when I hear those voices in my head it makes my day, as well as falling just a little in love with my sexy characters!

Hope everyone is working hard on their writing and enjoying this magical Sunday.

Cheers,
Maggie
